While training to become clinical psychologists, it became apparent to us that we and the people we work with could benefit tremendously from learning to extend greater self-compassion to ourselves and accept compassion from others.
With these curiosities in mind, we sought out training in practices of acceptance, mindfulness, and compassion from experts in the field. The more we learned, the more confident we became in the power of this more tender, connected way of relating to ourselves and others.
Through Compassion Collective, we hope to continue to ask questions and learn as well as provide a shared, interactive space to engage with these topics together. It is our hope that this forum will increase our individual and collective acknowledgment of suffering and allow us to find more helpful ways to navigate these human struggles.
