Michaela B. Swee, Ph.D. (top) and Susan Murray, Ph.D. (bottom) are clinical psychologists and the co-founders of Compassion Collective.
Over the course of our training and work in the field, it has become apparent to us that we and the people we work with could benefit tremendously from learning to extend greater self-compassion to ourselves and accept compassion from others.
Through our training in practices of acceptance, mindfulness, and compassion, we have become confident in the power of the more tender, connected way of relating to ourselves and others that acceptance-, mindfulness-, and compassion-focused approaches to mental health instill.
Through Compassion Collective, we hope to continue to ask questions and learn from many of the experts in the field, as well as provide a shared, interactive space to engage with these topics together. It is our hope that this forum will increase our individual and collective acknowledgment of suffering and allow us to find more helpful ways to navigate these human struggles together.
